Nonostante i pochi anni di attività alle spalle e i davvero pochi titoli in catalogo la Auand desta stupore per come sa arrivare a cogliere i musicisti nell’attimo opportuno, spesso cogliendo in anticipo quelle evoluzioni della musica delle quali il pubblico si accorgerà solo molto tempo dopo. Pensiamo ai primi due dischi pubblicati dall’etichetta, che hanno lanciato Francesco Bearzatti e Gianluca Petrella, ora tra i solisti italiani più ammirati (e nel caso di Petrella di maggior successo internazionale). Il lavoro sugli esordienti o quasi va fatto con un certo fiuto, una dote che sembra non mancare a Marco Valente, fondatore e produttore dell’etichetta pugliese: in seguito alle loro recenti registrazioni per Auand, Cuong Vu, Giancarlo Tossani e Roberto Cecchetto sono arrivati tutti in cima al referendum Top Jazz tra i migliori musicisti dell’anno…
